ARE WAX WARMERS SAFE?

Miss Cire professional wax heaters are extremely safe when following these wax warmer safety hacks.

Water and your wax warmer don’t mix. Keep your electric wax warmer out of bathrooms, pool areas, or away from open liquids.
When you’re not using your professional wax heater, removing wax cans, or giving it a clean-up, keep it off and unplugged.
Avoid touching your body wax warmer while it’s on.
Unlike your ex, keep your wax pot warmer stable – like on a table or countertop.
Keep your waxing warmer cool in a room that’s at a neutral temperature and away from direct sunlight.
Only clean with wax warmer-friendly cleaning materials like a lint-free cloth, Miss Cire Wax Cleaner, and avoid using alcohol or harsh chemicals so you don’t ruin the paint on your wax pot.
Keep it upright when moving a wax pot (especially if there’s wax in it).
Our unique electric wax warmers are compatible with power sources that can facilitate 10-120 Volts, so don’t take it to France, for example, without the proper converter.

HOW TO USE A WAX WARMER?

Before you plug in a wax warmer, it’s important to read its directions and precautions. These handy wax warmer hacks will teach you how to use a Miss Cire wax pot warmer safely.

Step 1. To use a body wax warmer, turn on its on/off switch at the back of the warmer and turn its dial to the desired temperature recommended on your wax packaging.

Step 2. The goal is to melt the wax down to a thick honey-like consistency for hard wax and into a liquid for soft wax. This can take around 20 minutes, depending on how much wax you need to heat up.

Pro Wax Warmer Hacks

Many brands suggest melting down your wax to a liquid before lowering the heat on your waxing warmer to cool wax into its safe application temperature; this alters the performance of your wax. Only melt down your wax once to the suggested application temperature on your wax packaging. It takes about the same amount of time as the alternative method – without messing up your wax.
Consistently stir your wax from the outer edge. You can add more wax beads to the pot to help cool the wax down.
Pay attention to the temperature of your wax throughout the day and how it’s reacting. Wipe down your electric wax warmer often to keep it looking fierce!
At the end of each workday, turn the dial to off and shut off the on/off switch on the back of your waxing warmer when you’re done using it. Put the lid back on to keep wax clean when not in use.
WARNING: Never leave your wax warmer turned on or plugged in overnight.

WHAT CAN I CLEAN MY WAX POT WITH?

What you’ll need to clean an electric wax heater:

Lint-Free Fabric
Miss Cire Wax Cleaner
Thick Rubber Gloves (for heat safety)
Facial Safety Gear
Disclaimer: Be careful; you’ll need to be working with a heated wax pot and chemicals from your wax cleaner.

HOW TO REMOVE WAX FROM WAX WARMER?

There are a couple of reasons to want to know how to remove hard or soft wax from a body wax warmer:

You want to switch out a full pot of one formula for another.
You are at the end of your wax, and you want to try something new.
You want to know how to clean hard wax that has spilled on your professional wax warmer or a hard surface.
When switching out a can of soft wax, it’s as simple as using a Miss Cire Can Handle, while removing hard wax from a wax warmer can be a whole different story. Follow along with the next few FAQs to learn how to remove hard wax from a wax warmer when it’s a large or small amount.

HOW TO REMOVE HARD WAX FROM WAX WARMER?: SMALL AMOUNT

Set your electric wax heater to just before the halfway point and melt down wax enough to wipe it away with a lint-free fabric. Then, clean with Miss Cire Wax Cleaner for a grand clean finale.

HOW TO REMOVE HARD WAX FROM WAX WARMER?: LARGE AMOUNT

Set your waxing warmer dial to the midway point to simply melt the bottom and outside layers of your wax; the goal is to be able to remove it as one whole piece. Place your hardened wax into a separate stainless steel container and save it for later. Use a lint-free fabric to wipe out any residual wax, then clean with Miss Cire Wax Cleaner.

HOW TO CLEAN A WAX POT?

At the end of a long day, remember to give your professional wax warmer some love to keep it looking professional and dressed to impress for the next day of workin’ that wax.

Turn off the on/off switch on the back of your warmer and unplug it. Be sure that it’s not hot when you spruce it up. Apply Miss Cire Wax Cleaner onto a lint-free fabric and buff away to clean off any wax residue and give your cute wax warmer a nice shine. If you’ve got some thicker wax splashes on your wax machine, just apply a few drops of our cleaner over the area and let it sit to break down the wax.

HOW TO CLEAN HARD WAX FROM SURFACES?

For any waxing ‘oopses’ on hard surfaces like your wax pot, counter, or floor, simply apply Miss Cire Wax Cleaner to dissolve the wax and clean the surface. Let the cleaner sit longer if the amount of wax is more intense, then wipe away with lint-free fabric.

CAN YOU HEAT HAIR REMOVAL WAX IN THE MICROWAVE?

If you’ve just gotta have that wax in a rush, the only time it’s safe to use wax in a microwave is when you’re using Miss Cire No Hair Down There, a microwavable wax, or other microwavable waxes. But if you’re trying to melt regular high-quality hard wax, using a professional Miss Cire Wax warmer is the safest way to get small to large quantities of wax evenly melted down in 20 minutes.

Here’s what happens if you microwave wax. Using a microwave to melt hard wax will take ages and be inconsistent with some parts of your wax not melted and some burnt.

NEVER MICROWAVE SOFT WAX!!!
We don’t mean to be rude but HECK NO! Putting a metal can of soft wax in a microwave can result in a fire, and is a big-time dangerous drama, with the potential to injure (or worse) you and your client.
On that note, don’t use a stove either; stick to a Miss Cire Wax Warmer.

HOW LONG DOES THE WAX TAKE TO MELT?

Each wax formula has its own special kind of magic and temperature-specific ways it likes to be melted down and worked. Most Miss Cire wax warmers are made to melt down small to large amounts of wax in approximately 20-30 minutes. While soft wax can be melted down into a liquid, hard wax should only be melted down to its application temperature noted on your wax’s packaging. Melting hard wax down to a liquid form can degrade the formula and its performance.

Keep in mind that there are a few things that can prolong wax-melting time, such as:

How cold or warm your room is. Keep your wax room temperature in the low 70s.
The quality of your wax warmer and wax (waxes with bad-quality pine rosins can crystallize into chunks that will never melt).

ARE ALL WAX WARMERS COMPATIBLE WITH SOFT AND HARD WAX?

No, most brands only offer warmers that are specific to either hard or soft wax. Miss Cire offers hard wax warmers for high-quality hard wax, but we also have many unique wax warmers that are compatible with both hard and soft wax.

CAN I PUT HARD WAX IN A SOFT WAX WARMER?

Most soft wax warmers are designed to only melt cans of soft wax, but Miss Cire offers numerous revolutionary and unique wax warmers that can accommodate both hard and soft wax. Only use warmers that are compatible with the wax type you’re using; keep ‘em separate and keep it safe!

CAN I USE ANY WAX MACHINE TO MELT MISS CIRE WAX?

We recommend only using Miss Cire wax pots with our wax because, baby, you are already here with the best wax warmers for professionals. We’ve spent years in development, working alongside the busiest estheticians to ensure the safest, fastest, and most flawless wax meltdowns. The advanced omnidirectional heating mechanisms on Miss Cire electric wax heaters radiate heat evenly into every particle of the wax at the same time, so it’s all dissolving into the perfect wax application every service.
